How the program works
- In your application, share that you want to build or improve your online shop or booking system
- Your application and proposal will be reviewed and you'll hear back and get your funding within 3 weeks
- The grant will pay for up to 75% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $7,500
- Our team of experts will help you build your e-commerce system in under 12 weeks

Who qualifies for the grant?
- The business is owned by a B.C. resident or residents
- The business is registered in BC
- The business generated sales of more than $30,000 in the past year (in 2019, or in the year preceding the application)
- The business does not currently have an online store or has an online store with limited functionality
- The business does not currently have an online booking system or has an online booking system which requires optimization for online operations
What can the funds be used for?
Grant recipients can use the funding for a variety of online-related expenses, including pictures, creating an online inventory system, advertising costs, subscription costs of an e-commerce platform and training staff to manage the website. Here are a few more declarable expenses:
- Platform, online shop and online booking system development
- Copy and online content writing
- Developing an online inventory of goods, products and services
- Pictures (including hiring a photographer), stock photos or related graphics needed
- E-commerce platform subscription (up to 1 year)
- Online advertising (up to 1 year)
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Creating banners and other embedded advertising
- Course fees to cover staff training to manage the online shop or an online booking system, learn about digital marketing, etc.
